A member of the Paris Bar, Guillaume Courvoisier-Clément joined our team after several years with Clifford Chance.

 

He practises mainly in criminal law and specialises in white-collar crime matters. In particular, he has taken part in the defence of major groups in the context of CJIP (French DPA) negotiations with the French national financial prosecutor’s office, and in the defence of executives prosecuted before criminal courts for financial offences or as a result of collective accidents.

 

In 2024, he was elected Secrétaire de la Conférence des Avocats du Barreau de Paris, a two-hundred-year-old institution which, each year, elects 12 lawyers by way of a speech-making competition, in order for them to be court-appointed in the most serious criminal cases.

 

He is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris law school and has a Master 2 in general private law from Paris II. He also studied for a year at the University of California at Berkeley.

 

He is fluent in French, English and Spanish.

 

He teaches criminal procedure at Sciences Po Paris law school and regularly publishes in the legal press.
