A student-at-law at the Paris Bar, Maëlys worked in two UN institutions before joining the firm: the Office of the Prosecutor of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the International Mechanism set up to succeed the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. She has also trained with leading criminal lawyers and worked for the Défenseur des Droits, where she developed her interest in human rights, discrimination law and whistleblowers, as well as in the legal department of Médecins Sans Frontières, in the international humanitarian law unit.
Her practice focuses on international criminal law, and she has specialised in European and international proceedings relating to the protection of human rights. She also advises individuals and businesses on transnational criminal disputes.
Maëlys graduated Cum Laude from Sciences Po Paris Law School and also studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Chile. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
In her spare time, she enjoys ultimate Frisbee and hiking. She is also involved with the Refuges Solidaires association.
